Our Oceanfront Playground
Christopher’s Playground is dedicated to a young life lost too soon. Christopher Morris Jr., the great-grandson of Carl & Marion Perry, Lakewood’s founders, passed away at the age of 6 due to health complications. While his soul has gone on to heaven, his memory lives on through the happiness this new playground brings our young guests.
The oceanfront play area features two separate platforms, one for younger children and one for the older kiddos. It also features a toddler swing, two standard swings and a wheelchair mat leading to a harness swing.
On-Site Sports
Lakewood Camping Resort’s sports venues offer a wide variety of outdoor activities designed for all ages and skill levels, giving guests plenty of ways to stay active during their stay. From courts for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball to fun options like cornhole and disc golf, there’s something for both casual play and friendly competition. Open year-round (weather permitting), these venues provide easy access to equipment and space to enjoy time with family and friends, making them a key part of the resort’s all-in-one, activity-filled experience.
