Celebrating 50 Seasons
High Steppin’ Country, the longest-running live show on the Grand Strand, returns for its 50th season at Lakewood’s Theater By the Sea – the only outdoor, beachfront amphitheater on the Grand Strand.
Since 1976, High Steppin’ Country has been a can’t-miss Lakewood tradition, and this milestone season is set to be the most memorable yet. The 2026 season kicks off on Thursday, June 11, 2026, launching a summer full of music, energy, and celebration.
This high-energy, two-hour variety show features a dynamic mix of entertainment, including country favorites, gospel, patriotic medleys, and a special throwback section celebrating iconic hits from the 1980s. Guests of all ages will love the interactive moments too – especially when kids join Jellyfish, High Steppin’ Country’s mascot, on stage to “Walk the Dinosaur.”
High Steppin’ Country is free for Lakewood guests, with tickets available at the Information Center. As one of the most popular and iconic entertainment experiences in Myrtle Beach, seating fills quickly – early reservations are strongly encouraged.
