Campsite Policies
CAMPSITE DETAILS
- Valid ID is required to verify the registered guest at check-in.
- Campsite rates are based on a family of up to 7 people traveling in one vehicle and one camping unit per campsite.
- One picnic table is provided at each campsite.
- Electric service included; 20/30/50 amp connections available on most sites.
- Surge protectors are recommended.
- Personal generators are not permitted within the resort.
- Water and sewer service are included in site rent.
- Year-round, daily on-site garbage removal service.
- Guests should place garbage bags by the road at the edge of their site by 8 a.m., not the night before.
- Wi-Fi available. Guests receive the password at check-in. Wi-Fi is not guaranteed, and speeds vary. Consider a Wi-Fi extender.
- Household trash is picked up daily at 8 a.m. If trash is not out by 8 a.m., it will not be collected. If trash is left by the road outside this time, a $50 fine will be charged.
- Campsites left with excess trash, debris, or bulk waste after departure will result in a $100 fine.
- Campsites left with damage to utilities without prior report will result in a $100 fine.
- Guests may request bulk trash service for $100 on the Lakewood Camping Resort App (excludes mattresses, appliances, and all furniture).
- Guests may request a camper move to another campsite for a $100 service fee.
- Drugs and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Anyone publicly intoxicated or publicly displaying alcohol, drugs, or paraphernalia will be fined $100 and may be removed with no refund.
VEHICLE DETAILS
- Campsite rates include one (1) vehicle.
- A second vehicle may be allowed on the campsite, space permitting. Fee: $10 per night.
- For stays of 30+ days: $85 for the first 30 days, $25 for every additional 30 days.
- A third vehicle may be parked in our overflow parking area, subject to availability. Fee: $12 per night.
- License plate numbers must be registered for all guests and visitors.
- The speed limit of 10 MPH is strictly enforced.
EXTRA ON-SITE TENT OR SCREEN ROOM
- One (1) two-person tent (5×7 or smaller) permitted with an additional $15 per day fee for the entire reservation.
- Tent must be noted at reservation or at check-in.
- Size of campsite may restrict tent use.
- Screen rooms allowed at no charge.
PET POLICIES
- All pets must be registered at check-in.
- Service animals and law enforcement dogs must follow all pet rules; certification required.
- Only non-aggressive, quiet pets permitted.
- Prohibited breeds: Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Akitas, Chow Chows, Dalmatians.
- Pets must stay within campsite boundaries unless supervised.
- Pets must be leashed (max 6 ft).
- Dog runners may not be attached to trees.
- Excessive noise or nuisance pets must be boarded at owner’s expense.
- Pet owners must clean up after pets. Pet waste stations located throughout resort.
- Pet waste, wipes, and non-biodegradable materials must not be placed in sewer connections.
- Pets prohibited from all buildings, pools, playgrounds, lakes, and beachfront recreation areas.
- Service animals are welcome in the entire resort.
- Horry County Ordinance: No animals on the beach from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. May 1–Labor Day.
- Reptiles and exotic animals prohibited.
- Guests are responsible for all damages caused by pets.
RESERVATION RESTRICTIONS (MEMORIAL DAY – AUGUST 1)
- Non-oceanfront: 4-night minimum.
- Oceanfront: 7-night minimum.
SENIOR CITIZEN & MILITARY DISCOUNT (AGE 55+)
Jan 1 – March 25 and September 8 – December 31, 2025
- 10 percent off the entire stay at regular rate.
30-DAY EXTENDED STAYS
January 1 – March 25, March 25 – May 23 (Block 3 only), September 8 – 30, October 1 – 31, November 1 – December 31
- Must be paid in advance to receive the discounted rate.
120+ DAY EXTENDED STAYS (Nov 1 – June 1)
- Must arrive no later than February 1.
- Monthly payments required: $980 (standard) or $1,100 (concrete pads or oceanfront).
- Daily rates apply if stay is less than 4 months, or if dates fall outside Nov 1–June 1.
- Discounts must be requested at check-in with matching ID.
SITE LOCK
- $3 per night to lock in chosen site.
EXPRESS CHECK-IN
- $15, and site lock required.
- Must sign 30 days prior via E-Doc.
- Skip the front desk; packet is prepared for arrival.
- Express check-in time: 3:00 p.m.
EARLY CHECK-IN
- $25 (12–3 p.m.).
- Drops to $15 from Nov 1 – March 25.
- Can be purchased in advance or at check-in, based on availability.
PAYMENT
- Balance for reservations made within the same calendar year is due at time of reserving.
- Reservations made 12+ months in advance require a $100 deposit; full balance due March 1 of reservation year.
- Past-due balances cancel on March 2.
- Guests are responsible for tax increases implemented after reservation confirmation.
- Outstanding balances will be charged after departure.
- Guests staying 90 consecutive days may request refund of all SC taxes paid.
- Payment types: cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover.
- Personal checks not accepted.
CANCELLATIONS
- Must be made by phone: 877-525-3966.
- No refunds for arrivals-day cancellations, early departures, no-shows, or switching to lower-priced accommodations after arrival.
- Nov 1 – March 24: cancellations 15+ days before arrival incur a $25 cancellation fee.
- Nov 1 – March 24: cancellations within 14 days incur a $50 fee.
- March 25 – Oct 31: no refunds for cancellations within 14 days of your arrival.
- March 25 – Oct 31: cancellations 15+ days before arrival incur a $50 cancellation fee.
- Shortening stays over 2 weeks: $50 fee.
- No refunds for booking or site lock fees.
- Check-out is by 11 a.m.; late stays charged one additional night.
- No refunds due to weather or nature.
CAMPSITE RESERVATION POLICIES
- Reservations accepted up to 24 months in advance.
- Families only.
- No reservations for singles under age 25. Violations result in cancellation fee and denied entry.
- Reservations guaranteed by block location only; specific sites never guaranteed.
- Special requests noted but not guaranteed.
- Make reservation for full stay; renewals not guaranteed.
- Includes water, sewer, electric, Wi-Fi hotspots, and daily trash removal.
- Check-in after 3 p.m.; check-out by 11 a.m.
- No entry before official check-in.
STORAGE CUSTOMERS / CAMPSITE RESERVATIONS
- No charge to pull storage unit to reserved site.
- Storage units should be on-site by 3 p.m. check-in, but delays may occur.
- Owner or authorized family must place the reservation.
- Written permission required if someone else is staying in the unit.
- 24-hour notice required, or a $50 same-day reservation fee applies.
- Lakewood does not move units to/from other facilities.
- Temporary camper storage: $50 per day, subject to availability.
CAMPING UNIT PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Guests must back onto their campsite. No pull-throughs except Sites 7001–7005 and most 1300-row sites.
- Units may not be parked sideways or pulled forward.
- Units must be parked on the designated base area where water & sewer are located.
- Units may not occupy the picnic table area.
- Guests are responsible for damages caused by improper parking.
- If a unit becomes stuck due to improper parking, towing is at guest expense.
- Guests parking on a site not assigned to them will be fined $50.
