About High Steppin’ Country

High Steppin’ Country is the longest-running live show on the Grand Strand. This high energy, two hour variety show features a wide range of music including Motown, classic and modern country, gospel, and patriotic medleys. The show also includes a special children’s segment that invites kids on stage to become part of the performance, making it fun for the whole family.

You can only see High Steppin’ Country at Lakewood’s Theater By The Sea, the only outdoor beachfront amphitheater on the Grand Strand.

Over the years, the show has served as a launching pad for many successful careers, including country superstar Josh Turner. Former cast members have also gone on to perform on Broadway, television, and in films.

High Steppin’ Country is free for all Lakewood guests and residents. Guests can reserve seats at the Information Center. Because of its popularity, the show is also open to the public, so early seat reservations are recommended.

Performances take place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday night throughout the summer.
